Q. What is a Custom Application?
A. A Custom Application quite simply is computer software specifically designed to reduce or eliminate the wasted time and money that comes with manual tasks or inefficient computerised tasks. Examples of Custom Applications are:
- Job costing and tracking systems
- Loyalty programs & tracking
- Purchasing, budgeting, invoicing, tracking, detailed enquiries
- Parts inventories, repair jobs, deliveries, customer history, stock takes etc
- Sorting, dissecting and reporting on data from any part of your business including management reporting
Q. How will a Custom Application help my business? What benefits will I get from it?
A. If you have a particular business frustration that revolves around any of the following problems:
- tasks requiring lots of manual work;
- tasks that seem to take forever;
- tasks where a lot of duplication of information or work occurs;
- tasks where lots of paper shuffling is required then a Custom Application can certainly help your business.
Q. What benefits will I get from a Custom Application?
A. The benefits gained are usually significant savings of time taken to complete tasks, savings of significant dollars relating to the time savings, efficiencies in completing the tasks in question, more accurate records and the ability to more easily track the tasks that you are performing. Q. How much does it cost and how long does it take to develop something for my needs?
A. Our Custom Applications can cost anywhere from $1100 to tens of thousands of dollars depending on the task and complexity involved. But in every case our customers have saved 3, 5 and sometimes 10 times the initial cost by having more efficient processes in the first year.
Q. That’s a serious investment. What guarantee if any do you provide?
A. We guarantee that the Custom Application will not only be more efficient than your current processes but they will work as expected. If our Custom Application does not provide time or dollar gains or if it doesn’t do as originally specified then we will work on it for free until it does.
Q. Can’t I simply buy something at Harvey Norman to fix my problem?
A. It really comes down to the frustration that you currently have. You may be lucky to find an off-the-shelf solution if a standard accounting or payroll system can resolve your frustrations. However, more often than not there are no mass produced solutions to your problems which is why there are so many businesses suffering from these challenges. A Custom Application can potentially transform a struggling business into one that makes a good profit.
Q. How easy are your Custom Applications to use?
A. It really comes down to the task that needs to be automated. However, we can say that they are designed to be efficient and easy to use. We offer a satisfaction guarantee (see above) so you know it will be easy to use and save time or dollars or both.
Q. How much training is required to use your system? And how is training provided (at our premises or over the Internet)?
A. We provide up to 2 hours of initial training for two employees as part of the Custom Application package. If further hours of training are required then this can be arranged at reasonable rates.
Q. What support do you provide once the Custom Application has been installed?
A. After installation once training has commenced we provide up to 10 telephone support calls free of charge during business hours. Once the 10 support calls have been used we charge $29.95 per support call thereafter.
Q. Are there any restrictions on how much information can be entered?
A. There are no restrictions on how much information can be entered. We design our Custom Applications so they are flexible and are restriction free.
Q. What if I need changes made to my Custom Application or if I need to enter information that has not been initially catered for?
A. Business needs change and additional reporting or tracking of data can be required at any time. We are happy to provide modifications to Custom Applications at very reasonable rates.
Q. I’ve done some software development in the past. Can I easily make changes to the software once it has been developed?
A. Unfortunately your Custom Application has been locked down so that changes cannot by made by customers. This is to ensure that data integrity is maintained. Please contact us if and when you need modification made.
